Manchester's Turning Golden! HUNTR/X (EJAE, Audrey Nuna, REI AMI) Perform at BRIT Awards 2026 (2026)

Manchester is going gold—and you’ll want to see why. The BRIT Awards 2026 with Mastercard today confirmed that EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI—the singing voices behind HUNTR/X from Netflix’s global hit KPop Demon Hunters—will perform in a special Manchester presentation tied to this year’s BRIT Awards on February 28.

To celebrate their two nominations—International Group and International Song for 'Golden'—the trio will perform live for invited fans outside Manchester’s Co-op Live. The performance was filmed in advance of The BRIT Awards, and UK and global audiences can watch the exclusive clip during the awards broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX, as well as YouTube, on Saturday, February 28.

EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI (the Singing Voices) commented: “We are thrilled to be nominated for two BRITs this year in celebration of KPOP DEMON HUNTERS’ music. We can’t wait to bring a special Manchester performance to UK fans.”

This marks The BRITs’ first-ever live appearance by a K-pop artist and acknowledges the film and its music’s remarkable cultural impact over the past year. KPop Demon Hunters is Netflix’s most popular film of all time, praised for its animation and soundtrack. It won Best Animated Feature at the Golden Globes and Best Original Song - Motion Picture for ‘Golden’; the track also won a Grammy for Song Written For Visual Media and is nominated for Best Original Song at the 2026 Academy Awards. The film is nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars as well. The soundtrack spent 30 non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 on the Official Compilations Chart, setting a longest-running record, and has surpassed 10.8 billion streams to date.

‘Golden’ is also up for International Song of the Year. It became the first UK Number 1 single by a K-pop artist in 13 years and has held the top position for 12 non-consecutive weeks, ranking 7th on Spotify’s global list of the most-streamed tracks in 2025. The song’s historic climb continued as ‘Golden’ reached Number 1, while ‘Soda Pop’ peaked at Number 3 and ‘Your Idol’ at Number 5 on the Official UK Singles Chart, marking a first-of-its-kind triple top-five for K-pop in the UK.

The BRIT Awards 2026, kicking off at the Co-op Live in Manchester on Saturday, February 28, will be broadcast live exclusively on ITV and ITVX. Host Jack Whitehall—the award-winning comedian, writer, and presenter—returns for his sixth hosting stint in Manchester, following prior turns in 2025, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018.

The BRITs trophy this year was designed by Manchester-born designer Matthew Williamson, whose amber-toned resin piece evokes a honeyed worker bee atop a globe, symbolizing the global reach of British music.

Mastercard continues its headline sponsorship as The BRITs enter its 29th year, and ITV remains the official broadcaster for the 34th year, with coverage across ITV, STV, ITVX, and STV Player.

These partnerships bolster The BRITs’ mission and values, including support for The BRIT Trust. The Trust funds charities promoting education and wellbeing through music, including The BRIT School and Nordoff and Robbins Music Therapy.
