Meet the Red Bull Jukebox House Band: Nashville's Hidden Gems (2025)

Get ready for an exclusive look at the Red Bull Jukebox House Band, a trio of exceptional musicians who are about to take Nashville by storm!

The Power of Nashville's Hidden Gems

On November 15th, a unique musical journey awaits as Red Bull Jukebox returns to Music City. Leading the charge are Miles McPherson, the talented Music Director and drummer, Kristen Rogers, an incredible background vocalist, and Kelby Ray, a multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire. Together, they form a powerhouse trio, ready to collaborate with each artist on the lineup and create an unforgettable night.

A Night of Musical Magic

At this year's Red Bull Jukebox, the band will jam with the incredible Treaty Oak Revival, the night's headliner, and welcome the songwriting competition winner onstage. With Ward Guenther, the return host of Whiskey Jam fame, by their side, they'll navigate the show's unexpected twists. From adapting to fan-voted songs to accommodating surprise guests, these musicians are prepared for anything.

But here's where it gets controversial...

The Elite of Nashville's House Bands

Nashville's house bands are renowned for their exceptional talent, and this trio is no exception. With a resume that includes collaborations with Post Malone, Reba McEntire, and Paramore, they are the cream of the crop. We sat down with them to uncover the challenges they face and the secrets to their success.

A Conversation with the Band

Miles McPherson: As a Nashville native and session drummer, I'm thrilled to be a part of this event. It's a rare opportunity to work with such talented artists.

Kristen Rogers: I moved to Nashville in 2006, and I'm proud to call it home. Being a part of the house band means you have to be flexible and adaptable.

Kelby Ray: As a fellow Nashville native, I can attest to the city's vibrant music scene. When it comes to Broadway bars, Legends is my go-to spot for a great night out.

The Secrets of a Great House Band

Kristen Rogers: Flexibility is key. As a house band, you rarely get to rehearse with the artist, so you have to be prepared for anything. Little mistakes happen, and you need to be attentive and responsive.

Miles McPherson: Nashville's house bands are the best of the best. Every night on Broadway, you'll find incredibly talented musicians holding it down.

The Excitement of Red Bull Jukebox

Miles McPherson: I'm excited to work with Derek Wells, last year's director, again. He's a great friend and an incredible musician. It's a privilege to have him back.

Kelby Ray: I'm looking forward to making music with amazing people and meeting new friends. The guys from Whiskey Jam are hosting, and I'm a big fan of Ward. I'm also excited to perform at Pinnacle!

Kristen Rogers: There's a surprise in store that I'm thrilled to be a part of. It's an honor to work with such talented and respected musicians in Nashville.

Preparing for the Unexpected

Miles McPherson: As the Music Director, I've put in countless hours of rehearsal and preparation. We've rehearsed the set list and crowd choices extensively. On the night, we'll be ready for anything. The stage manager will be guiding me, and we'll manage the flow of artists on and off the stage.

Kristen Rogers: My goal as a background vocalist is to disappear and support the artist. It's about respecting their voice and bringing my own unique contribution to the performance.

A Musical Journey

Miles McPherson: Kristen and I recently worked together on the Post Malone tour, but it was a unique situation. I flew in for one show to fill in on drums while she was on the other side of the world.

Kelby Ray: I'm currently busy with sessions, in-town shows, and promoting my project, The Road. You can catch me and the guys on CBS and Paramount+ on Sunday nights!

Kristen Rogers: One of the best parts of my job is the element of surprise. Everything comes together at the last minute, and I'm always excited to see what's next.

Get ready for an unforgettable night at Red Bull Jukebox, where this talented trio will showcase their skills and create magical musical moments!
