proteanTecs Makes a Bold Move: Expanding into Japan with a New Office and a Veteran Leader
It's a strategic play that's set to shake up the advanced electronics landscape. proteanTecs, a global frontrunner in advanced analytics for semiconductor health and performance monitoring, has just announced the appointment of Mr. Noritaka Kojima as the General Manager & Country Manager of proteanTecs Japan. But that's not all; they're also opening a brand-new office in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, marking a significant expansion into the Japanese market.
Japan is a powerhouse in the world of advanced electronics manufacturing. This move by proteanTecs is a clear indication of their commitment to strengthening partnerships within this crucial market. With Mr. Kojima at the helm, bringing his deep expertise and extensive industry experience, proteanTecs is poised to make a significant impact.
proteanTecs offers cutting-edge solutions that dive deep into the data collected from within chips and electronic systems. They monitor reliability, power, and performance from the manufacturing stage all the way through deployment. Their technology is designed to optimize quality, speed up time-to-market, and enable predictive maintenance across various stages of a product's lifecycle. Trusted by industry leaders in Automotive, Data Center, and Telecommunications, their solutions are integrated by major semiconductor and system companies worldwide, with rapid adoption in high-performance and mission-critical applications like AI training and ADAS.
Headquartered in Israel, proteanTecs has a global presence, with operations spanning the United States, Germany, India, South Korea, Taiwan, and now, Japan. This strategic expansion is all about strengthening collaborations with local partners, leading to faster, more efficient, and localized support. But here's where it gets interesting...
Meet Noritaka Kojima: The Man Leading the Charge
Mr. Kojima brings over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry to the table. For the past decade, he's been deeply involved in silicon IP licensing. Before joining proteanTecs, he led the business expansion for Hailo Japan in the edge AI semiconductor sector. Prior to that, he held key business management positions at CEVA and Tomen Electronics (now NEXTY Electronics), contributing to global technology partnerships and semiconductor business growth. In October 2025, he stepped into the role of General Manager & Country Manager at proteanTecs Japan, overseeing the launch of the Japan office and spearheading its strategic initiatives.
In His Own Words: Noritaka Kojima on the Future
Mr. Kojima shared his enthusiasm, stating, "After more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, I am honored to join proteanTecs and take on the challenge of launching its Japan office. proteanTecs is a company with a clear mission: 'to revolutionize electronics reliability, power/performance, and visibility through on-chip monitoring' and it is rapidly gaining global recognition across the advanced electronics industries."
He continued, "Japan is a nation deeply rooted in craftsmanship and technological curiosity. The ability of proteanTecs’ technology to visualize chip-level health and enhance data-driven optimization across the entire product lifecycle, from manufacturing to field operation, holds tremendous potential in this market."
"There is a strong rationale for establishing the Japan office: to build strong, long-term partnerships with Japanese customers to realize more scalable, resilient, and efficient product development and operation. We aim to be more than just a solution provider; we are committed to being a ‘technology partner’ that works closely with customers to solve their most critical challenges."
"Together with Japan’s electronics leaders, we will strive to help build a safer and more sustainable and interconnected technological society. That is the mission of proteanTecs Japan, and my own new challenge."
A Word from the Chief Revenue Officer
Sanjay Lall, the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of proteanTecs, added, "The Japanese market plays a vital role globally in advanced electronics manufacturing and operations. With Mr. Kojima’s deep expertise and strong industry experience, proteanTecs will further strengthen its partnerships with customers in Japan. We look forward to creating new value together with Japan’s semiconductor, automotive, and AI manufacturers."
Looking Ahead: The Future of proteanTecs in Japan
With the new Japan office in place, proteanTecs is set to accelerate predictive lifecycle monitoring across manufacturing, operation, and service phases. They plan to work closely with Japanese enterprises through co-development, PoC (Proof of Concept) initiatives, and mass-production support. This will enable them to expand their power reduction, advanced reliability, quality, and visibility solutions from the device to the system level. Leveraging its global network, proteanTecs is positioning Japan as a key hub for business expansion in the Asia-Pacific region, driving sustainable growth and market innovation.
