The railway will stretch over an impressive 390 kilometers, connecting six key provinces and cities: Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, and Hai Phong. Its design adheres to modern standards, featuring standard gauge tracks capable of supporting both passenger and freight services, with speeds reaching up to 160 km/h on key sections—making travel faster and logistics more efficient.
Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, He Wei, pointed out that this project will significantly reduce physical and logistical barriers, fostering smoother cross-border transportation and lowering operational costs. This enhanced connectivity is expected to bolster supply chains between the two nations and serve as a catalyst for economic growth. Ambassador He expressed hope that both countries would proceed with the project carefully and systematically, ensuring its success.
